Food Safety &
Traceability

Food safety, technical excellence and quality are integral aspects of our manufacturing process at Dawn Pork & Bacon. Our food safety and quality management systems are carefully developed in line with legislative requirements, industry best practices and customer specifications.

Our manufacturing facility uses the most up to date technology including a computerised traceability and stock control system from intake to dispatch.

The company operates a HACCP system, is a member of An Bord Bia (Irelands Food Board) meat products quality assurance scheme and are accredited to the BRC global standard for food safety.

Membership of Origin Green and standard accreditations such as BRC, MPQAS, USDA and ISO 14001 ensure that the company maintain constant and continuous developments to the highest national and international standards in the food industry.

Sustainability is central to shaping the future of Dawn Pork and Bacon. In 2014 the company became verified members of the Bord Bia Origin Green Programme. This important milestone provided an opportunity for us to share our Environmental and Sustainability achievements and look to the future to present our ideas for continuous improvement. We believe the only way to achieve success in the long term is through sustainable action throughout the entire supply chain.
