Queally Pig Slaughtering Ltd, T/A Dawn Pork & Bacon recognises that its greatest asset is our employees and therefore endeavour to promote an attitude of cooperation, participation, and partnership with all aspects of our business. We must continue to develop our own ethos on Health & Safety and implement suitable policies for securing the safety and health at work of all our employees, so far as is reasonably practicable. As Plant Manager of Queally Pig Slaughtering Ltd. I am committed to complying with the Health & Safety Policy and achieving the safety policy Objectives.

  • Complying with the company Health & Safety Policy.
  • Providing safe systems of work to protect the Health, Safety, and Welfare of our employees and to meet our duties to contractors and members of the public who may be affected by our operations so far as is reasonably practicable.
  • All employees are provided with relevant training, information, resources, and instruction
  • Health and safety procedures comply with legislative requirements
  • Ensuring company processes will not damage the environment
  • Preventing of property damage/loss or product loss
  • Maintaining the highest industrial procedure and hygiene standards.
  • Elimination and prevention of the risk of injury, accident or loss avoidance
  • Identify all workplace hazards, assess the associated risks, implement appropriate control measures, and monitor their effectiveness

 

Queally Pig Slaughtering Ltd is fully committed to operating within the terms of the Safety, Health & Welfare work act 2005, Safety, Health, and welfare at work regulations 2007 (S.I No. 299 general application) as amended, and the SHWW Construction Regulations, 2013. All relevant statutory requirements will be complied with.

The Managing Director shall have overall responsibility for the implementation of the Safety Policy. The Plant Manager shall implement in all work areas and ensure all managers and employees understand their responsibilities and co-operate with the implementation of the Safety Policy

The success of this policy depends on the co-operation of everyone on site at Queally Pig Slaughtering Ltd. Employees at Queally Pig Slaughtering Ltd are responsible for:

 

  • Performing their work in a safe manner to avoid injury to themselves or others
  • Avoiding damage to company equipment and property
  • Reporting of all accidents, dangerous occurrences, unsafe conditions, and acts to their supervisor or management
  • Not enter areas you are not authorised to enter.
  • To give your full attention and co-operation to any training given

 

The Safety Statement will be revised as changes occur and evaluated at set intervals at Queally Pig Slaughtering Ltd. All relevant contents of the Statement are available and communicated to all employees, contractors, and members of the public who may be affected; employees are encouraged to put forward suggestions for improvement of the Safety Statement.
